About.

Who I am, what I build, why I build it. Written for owners thinking about hiring someone for a personal AI.

Reading time · 3 minutes Based · [YOUR CITY], [YOUR COUNTRY] Clients · worldwide

I am [YOUR NAME]. I build small, private AI helpers for small business owners. One person, a few clients at a time, no staff, no agency. If that is what you are looking for, we can probably work together.

The rest of this page is what I would tell you over coffee about why I do this and how I got here. Take five minutes. If what you read sounds like your kind of person, email me. If it does not, no hard feelings.

01

What I actually do, in a sentence.

I build small pieces of software that sit on your computer and do the typing, looking-up, and filing parts of your week. The software is trained on how your business actually runs. You own the code when we are done.

If you want the longer version, the homepage walks through what a personal AI actually is.

02

Who I am.

[YOUR NAME]. Based in [YOUR CITY, YOUR COUNTRY]. I have been building software for [N] years. Before this I [PREVIOUS JOB / ROLE / BACKGROUND — two sentences, max].

I work alone, on purpose. An agency would make me more money and I would enjoy it less. A team would mean I spend my week in meetings instead of writing software. One person, a small number of clients at any time, is the arrangement that works for me and for the people I build for.

03

Why I do this.

I spent enough years around small business owners to know what they deserve and what most of them get. They deserve software that fits them. They usually get software built for somebody else, dressed up in a logo that looks like theirs, rented from a company that does not know their name.

What I am trying to build, one client at a time, is the opposite of that. Software made for you specifically, by a person who learned how you work before they wrote a line of code, priced once, owned by you forever.

04

How I work.

Slowly, compared to most. A proper build takes me two to four weeks. I do not take on more than [N] clients at a time. I reply to messages within one working day, in writing, not on a call. I do not have a phone number on the site because calls are not how I work — but if a call is easier for you, say so and we will schedule one.

If you want to see the whole process in detail, it is written up in What working together actually looks like. Read that before you email. It will save us both time.

05

What I will not do.

Because you deserve to know.

  • Marketing. SEO. Ads. Social. I do not do any of them, even if my domain name suggests otherwise. The name is a legacy I kept because I liked the URL.
  • Work above a certain size. I am a one-person builder. If you need a team, I will point you at one.
  • Subscription-locked software. Every build you hire me for is a thing you own afterwards.
  • Reselling SaaS I did not write, dressed up as a build.
  • Work for clients whose data I cannot look after safely. I will tell you honestly if I am not the right person for a sensitive file.
06

Where else to find me.

If you want to see what I have built before, read a few things I have written, or check that I am a real person:

How to start.

The fastest way is to answer the five-question assessment, and I will write back with a rough proposal. The more direct way is to email me. Either one is fine.
